Learning for All

The hardest task that public schools face, especially in light of limited funding, is meeting the needs of many when each student is uniquely different. Using metrics, benchmarks and proper evaluative tools, it is incumbent upon SUSD to gauge where they excel and where improvements can be adopted towards meeting that goal.

Our special needs students, our students that lack support or resources at home, and our high achieving students that flourish with more rigorous and challenging curriculum must all be considered when making board decisions.  My main focus on the SUSD governing board will be listening to students, parents, and educators to develop a system that inspires and motivates each child to master state standards and beyond.
